I've just learned of the passing of my colleague, Dan Moore. Dan was a professor at Seneca for 20 years. He retired last year. Apparently he was recently diagnosed with cancer, and died soon after.
Dan was, without exaggeration, the kindest man I've ever met. To bump into Dan in the hall, or sit with him during a meeting, was to experience a profound calm. His smile was a gift.
I didn't know Dan outside of Seneca. However, I do know that we shared the same faith, and that he's beaten me home. I look forward to seeing his smile again one day, along with the one who gave it to him.
God bless you, Dan.
