Snow by moonlight.

I'm just going to bed, but I had to pause and reflect for a moment on the scene outside.  There's a little over a foot of snow, and a full moon with no cloud-cover.  The light is so bright it could almost be day; and the snow is like a million diamonds spilled carelessly over everything.  The lake is perfectly frozen, and deer have left single-file tracks across the middle, in their journey from one forest to another.  I've never seen anything quite like it before.  Totally and completely awe inspiring.  Tomorrow I'm committing to myself to spend some time snowshoeing in the woods.  Now bed.
