FSOSS '07 -- Call for Proposals
I'm one of the chairs of the Free Software and Open Source Symposium (FSOSS), and wanted to get the word out that we've opened the flood gates for talk and workshop proposals for fall 2007. Last year's line-up was fantastic, and if you missed it, you can grab the talks here.
This year we're going to have talks and workshops on both days (Oct 25/26) so that there is room for more of each. If you have a talk idea or want to do a workshop and teach in the lab, please consider submitting a proposal. We have a good group forming already.
Also, if you're the sponsorship type, get in touch with me too so I can send you a sponsorship package. One of the goals of FSOSS is to keep costs for attendees as low as possible so that it is open to everyone. Every year FSOSS attracts developers, educators, government, and private and public institutions of every stripe. It makes for an eclectic mix that insures that none of the rooms are ever in complete agreement, and discussion is always passionate.
General registration will open in June, which I'll blog about later.
