Birds on a wire
The only good thing about my lengthy drive home tonight was the fact that I saw not one, not two, but five Kestrels. All of them were hunting and perched on power lines, waiting for prey below. I've never seen so many in one day. I think they are my favourite predatory birds and I never get tired of seeing them: the way they hover in one spot; their extreme colouring. There is one that lives just south of campus, if you're ever walking down Keele at Four Winds.
